The cropping is to accentuate the graphic dimension in this minimalist image. I like the harmonious contrast between the pinks of the stones and the green of the door.

Dungeness – Jarman’s boat
High and dry alongside Prospect Cottage, former home of the film maker Derek Jarman. I was drawn to the echoing curves of the boat’s planking and the aerial power cables that abound on the Ness. I was careful to include the distant and distinctive buildings in the distance.
Dungeness – The Outfall
The disturbance in the sea is the cooling water outlet for the nuclear power station. The warm water creates increased activity as seabirds feed on the concentration of life it brings.
